Hey! I’m Melinda and I’m so glad you’re here! If you’re a new mama, you’ve come to the right place.

I’ve made two babies myself. I’ve lived through a C-section and survived 30 hours of labor and a successful VBAC without pain meds. I’ve spent a combined 31 months breastfeeding my babies. I’ve been up at two in the morning all alone with a screaming newborn, so tired I could collapse and no idea how to calm her down. I worry a lot. The number of times I’ve woken my baby up in the process of just checking to make sure she’s alive is a little embarrassing.

I get how hard it is to bring a baby into the world and then try to figure out how to take care of him or her while still maintaining some semblance of sanity.

I believe that new mothers are far too often left on their own without the support or resources they need to be the best moms that they can be. You deserve to have a birth that leaves you feeling safe, empowered, and on top of the world, not unheard, violated or out  of control. You deserve to be educated about your resources and have the information that you need to parent well. You deserve to have people alongside you, helping you and supporting you every step of the way in your journey through motherhood.

That’s why I created Unfrazzled Mama. I can’t be there for you myself, but I can provide you with information and point you in the right direction to get the answers that you need. Whether you’re trying to figure out the best way to take of your body while you’re pregnant, preparing yourself for an awesome labor and delivery, or struggling with the challenges of breastfeeding or postpartum depression, I’m here for you.

If you’ve stumbled upon my little corner of the internet and haven’t said hi yet, please shoot me an email at unfrazzledmama@gmail.com! I’d love to hear from you and answer any of your motherhood questions!
